A LAND THAT TIME FORGOT…

Riverside Burrum Heads offers the perfect blend of traditional camping and natural beauty. Just 5km from Burrum Heads, this hidden gem sits on the banks of the Burrum River, with the Burrum Coast National Park as its backdrop. A 4WD is recommended for access (see map in the gallery), but once you arrive, you’ll be greeted by spacious, flood-free grass campsites, ideal for solo travelers, families, and groups. Bring your tinny or kayak to explore the pristine waterways, or simply unwind by the campfire with your furry companion as you take in the sights and sounds of the bush.

With rustic toilets and showers a short walk away, you can enjoy the best of off-grid camping without sacrificing comfort. Watch the sunset over towering gum trees or sunrise over the river, spot native wildlife, and explore hidden gems like the fairy glen and bush regeneration areas, where you might discover rare orchids and birds. Best of all, your stay directly supports bush regeneration efforts on the property, ensuring the preservation of this stunning natural environment. Whether you’re after relaxation or adventure, Riverside Burrum Heads is the ultimate nature escape.

Awesome place to get away. Friendly owners, Have ice, bait, wood, hot showers for $1. All available. Has a fishing pontoon & boat ramp etc. Plenty of wildlife, fishing & peace and quiet. Can not recommend this place enough. You need a 4X4 to get through some sandy bits but we’ll worth it. Plenty of clear well maintained spots..

My first time visiting this amazing place. Owner was extremely helpful and friendly when we arrived. Camp sites are pristine and spacious. Perfect place to camp by the fire among the wildlife, go fishing, crabbing and unwind. Will most definitely be a regular at this place in the future.

Friendly Park

Great long weekend away. Quiet place with some good tracks found in the NP. Kids had a great time, putting their bodies on the line to catch crabs. Friendly owners with local knowledge and decent prices for ice, wood and mozzie spray (which is a must). Thank You, we’ll be back!
