Rain, Blazing Sun and Your Holiday!

What can I say about the weather that hasn’t been said many times over. Well, nothing really. But there is another side to it, and that’s the one that makes us all sad.
Bad weather of any description causes us to put our travel plans on hold. We wait to see the outcomes of the weather event and then the news fills our screens with scenes of roads washed away in a flood, hillsides bare of anything because of no rain.
We have found a way of getting around these issues. If you know where you are going, check out the on line mains roads site in the state you are travelling in. If it tells you the main road is closed due to road works, there are alternatives you can use.

One of the benefits of checking the main roads websites has been the new places we have found. We have gone to small places, off the main roads, and they are really happy to see you.
The temptation to just put your plans on hold and wait until the weather returns to ‘normal’ is one way of looking at it. But, if it flooded in January and your trip was planned for June, check out the road. Chances are it’s open again.
Happy travels.
