More Than Just A Campground

Just a short drive from Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy, Traveller’s Rest 1770 Eco Camping offers a peaceful bush-camp experience with plenty of space, birdlife and that relaxed coastal-meets-bush vibe the region is known for. This eco-certified nature campground sits on 44 acres of native bushland beside Eurimbula National Park, making it a quiet base for travellers who like open skies, campfires and a real connection to the outdoors.

Powered and unpowered sites are generously spaced among tall trees and natural surroundings, perfect for caravans, motorhomes, and tents. Wander the elevated bush boardwalk, spot wildlife, or simply enjoy the serenity. It’s a friendly, locally run park where the focus is on nature, simplicity and a genuine welcome.

What makes Traveller’s Rest 1770 truly unique is the chance to explore and connect with nature right within the park. Guests can take a self-guided tour along the bushwalk, stop at the bird hide to observe native birdlife, and as the sun sets, gather for evening slide shows, a welcoming community moment that captures the park’s spirit of sharing and connection with nature.

Highlight Of Our Trip!

06 Nov, 2025

This campgroud has been the highlight of our trip. Big camping areas away from others. Great service and very relaxed few days. You can walk around a board walk and soak up the scenery. We loved it and will be back very soon 😍

Favorite Stop So Far

06 Nov, 2025

After three weeks on the road, Traveler’s Rest 1770 has easily been our favorite stop so far. From the moment we arrived—greeted by a few curious kangaroos—we knew this place was something special. I’ve truly never seen so many birds in one location in my life. It was breathtaking. The sounds, the colors, the sheer variety—it felt like nature was welcoming us in.

What really stood out was the care. The caretaker was incredibly kind and generous, and it’s clear how much love goes into maintaining this place. Everything was spotless, thoughtfully laid out, and surprisingly affordable. You can feel the years of attention and effort that have gone into restoring and protecting the land. Staying here wasn’t just a stop—it was an experience. A rare treat to witness what it looks like when someone takes genuine care of nature.

Awesome Little Camp

06 Nov, 2025

Great little camp just 15 minutes from Agness Water and 1770. Awesome spacious camp. Great showers & toilets. Even a boardwalk through natural vegetation with great interactive billboards for the kids. Great spot for a few days.

The Best Campground!!!

06 Nov, 2025

This is the best campground we’ve stayed at so far. The owner Mike is so lovely and welcoming. At night he does a slide show presentation to give information about the surroundings which is very informative and entertaining. The campsite itself is picturesque and lots of wildlife. There is also a bush trail which has a boardwalk so very easy to navigate. The amenities were very clean and the showers were always lovely and hot. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Would love to stay here again.
