Local Attractions

Tawonga Tourist Park is only a short drive from Falls Creek, one of Victoria’s premier alpine resorts. In winter, visitors can enjoy downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and family friendly snow play. The park’s convenient location and drying room facilities make it the perfect choice for those heading to the slopes.

When the snow melts, the High Country transforms into a haven for outdoor adventure. The Kiewa River invites kayaking, swimming and fishing, while a network of walking and cycling trails winds through alpine forests, wildflower valleys and scenic lookouts.

ABSOLUTE MUST STAY!

05 Aug, 2025

I chose this park for myself and my son to getaway as mother and son for our first camping trip and it exceeded all expectations. Camping by the river forced us to slow down, the grounds were so peaceful and everyone else camping seemed to read the vibe of the place and slowed down too. So peaceful, stunning views, clean facilities in the bathrooms, camp kitchen and outdoor bbq. I felt safe here which was my upmost priority and will be back again and again. Thanks Mel and Tony especially for helping us with setting up and educating us about the local wildlife and sights to see.

A MUST STAY!!!

Will be back!

05 Aug, 2025

Went here with my family for a five days stay. Had an absolutely awesome time. The sound of singing birds in early morning was magical, great river for kids activities, and stargazing at night. Tony, the manager was very friendly and would drop by from time to time to chat and make sure that we were all set. I just wish there is an option to book a particular site. Will definitely be back!

Our Go To Camping Spot

05 Aug, 2025

Tawonga Tourist Park has been, and will continue to be, our go to camping spot for our yearly snow trip. The facilities are excellent, the kitchen building is a charming haven and well equipped, and the shower block consistently tidy. So with a comfy tent and sleeping kit, we save a ton camping here without really compromising on comfort. Having a fire going in our portable pit, with the sound of the river in the background, is also a relaxing way to finish the day. Great location too for getting to Falls and Bogong.
