Local Attractions

Spicers Caravan Park is perfectly positioned for exploring Parkes, one of inland New South Wales’ most iconic country towns. Best known as the home of the famous CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope, affectionately known as ‘The Dish’, the region offers a fascinating mix of science, history, culture and authentic country hospitality. From panoramic lookouts to museums and welcoming local eateries, there’s something to suit every traveller.

Take in spectacular views across the district from Memorial Hill, home to the impressive Shrine of Remembrance and one of Parkes’ most recognisable landmarks. Great , family park. The staff, Wendy and Shane in particular went out of their way to make this a wonderful, easy trip. The park is well maintained and the facilities are top notch! We will be returning (when we get some more time off!!)

We Will Stay Again

What a fabulous park this one is. We had a drive through site (site 9) which was so conveniently located, large and easy. The park is an easy walk to town and other lovely local walks. Staff are really lovely and helpful. Amenities are older but spacious with good water pressure and instant hot water. Highly recommend this park. We will stay again.

Friendly people, and pet friendly!

Great amenities! Everything is nice and clean.

Proper shower/ change stall.. everything on the other side of the curtain stayed nice and dry, just how you like it!

Excellent, I’ll stay here again.

I didn’t get a room, but based on the general cleanliness of the place, I’m guessing the rooms are a 5.
