Mount Larcom Tourist Park
On the way to your next adventure....
Mount Larcom is a township in the Gladstone Region of Queensland. Located at the junction of the Bruce Highway and Port Curtis Way, our town is approximately 70 km south of Rockhampton. Our country park is situated on 6.5 acres in a lovely garden setting, conveniently just off the Bruce Highway.
We offer accommodation to suit a variety of travellers. Set up camp on one of our grassed powered sites with slab and bistro settings, or stay on an unpowered site in our very roomy top tier camp ground – offering plenty of room and some privacy from the main park area, with stunning views of Mt Larcom and surrounding area from our purpose-built sunrise viewpoint.
Make yourself at home in one of our modern ensuite cabins, offering various accommodation for couples and families. Some of our cabins feature a balcony or patio with garden views. All cabins are non-smoking and pet-friendly.
Stock up with essentials including our own fresh free-range eggs at our kiosk before cooking up a storm in our well equipped camp kitchen and barbecue facilities, or catch up on your washing in our coin-operated laundry. We even provide free wifi to our guests. Your pets are welcome, although conditions apply.

Things To Do
If you’re feeling adventurous, head towards Gladstone’s most prominent natural landmark, Mount Larcom, located along Lynn Road. Mount Larcom is of volcanic origin, and your walk takes you through light eucalypt forest and grass trees. A challenging trek up to the summit is rewarded with an uninterrupted 360 degree view of the Gladstone area. Rural lands and the Gladstone Harbour can easily be recognised from the summit, and on a clear day you will see reef islands to the east and Rockhampton to the north.
If you feel like enjoying a shorter walk, we have access to a walking trail and our park is walking distance to a cafe, store, post office/Library, as well as the local pub offering great meals – with a pet-friendly beer garden. On a warmer day why not enjoy a swim at the swimming pool nearby.
Weekly throughout May to September we have a Bush Poet Recital night with complimentary sausage sizzle.
If you’re in town in June, you might find yourself attending the annual Mt. Larcom Show, arguably the best agricultural show in Central Queensland! In addition to the livestock competitions, there are other activities including a ute muster, fairground, woodchopping and fireworks.
