A Grand Reopening
The park’s reopening isn’t just a milestone for travellers—it’s a celebration for the Colac community. The launch weekend promises something for everyone:
- Saturday 10 January | 5–8pm: Live music from local favourites, Band O’ Coots, food from H&H Gourmet Taiwan, lawn games, face painting by local artist Mira Westlake, and exciting raffle prizes. The event is open to the wider community, so even those not staying at the park can join the festivities.
- Sunday 11 January: In-park guests will be treated to a complimentary bacon and egg breakfast served by the Rotary Club of Colac West.
Lake Colac Holiday Park is located right on the foreshore of Lake Colac, next to the Colac Botanic Gardens and Barongarook Creek. The park offers a range of sites including powered and unpowered camping spots, as well as drive through powered sites with concrete pads. The park offers a peaceful, unplugged stay with new bathroom and camp kitchen amenities, stunning lake views, abundant birdlife, and plenty of local tourist information available at reception. The park is pet friendly. It is a calm and verdant base for those seeking nature, lakeside views, easy town walkability, or a gateway to longer adventures in the Otways or along the Great Ocean Road.
