Lake Anderson Caravan Park
Home is where you park it !
The heritage town of Chiltern is located just a few kilometers off the Hume Highway, 35 km south of Albury-Wodonga. Lake Anderson Caravan Park is a beautifully maintained park set on approximately four acres and overlooks the picturesque Lake Anderson and is only a few minutes’ walk to Chiltern CBD.
Many established trees provide shade to the level, grassy caravan sites, and camping sites are placed alongside the lake. We have a range of cabins available, with park or lake views.
Our park provides clean accessible amenities, and a fully equipped laundry for your convenience.
The park is also situated in the town’s leisure and sporting precinct, which is open to our guests. The precinct includes a swimming pool, tennis courts, lawn bowls, a football club and a cricket club.

Things To Do
The village of Chiltern was originally founded as a farming community, but the discovery of gold brought prosperity and led to the construction of the settlement, which stands today. The main street of Chiltern still retains its original heritage. It's history and charm from the early era and original foundation are still prominent. Take a self-guided walk through the streets of Chiltern and pop into the historical Dow’s Pharmacy. Built in 1859 and closed in 1968, everything inside remained intact, so it feels like you’re stepping back in time 50 years. Visit the Federal Standard Printing Works, one of the few substantially intact provincial newspaper printers remaining from the gold mining era.
Bird-watching enthusiasts will find an abundance of native wildlife in the area due to its unique location. Over 220 species of birds have been recorded in the area, and some rare sightings of the Regent Honeyeater and Swift Parrot have been noted around Chiltern. The surrounding Chiltern Box-Ironbark national forests provide delightful bushwalking and cycling opportunities and an opportunity to search for these rare birds. Enjoy some walks along the forest trails through the Chiltern Mount Pilot National Park and enjoy 360-degree views from the Mount Pilot Lookout.
Further afield are the towns of Yackandandah, Beechworth and Bright. Enjoy good country pub meals, visit boutique wineries, and discover the history of these towns from our central location. Go west to Rutherglen and surrounds and discover the Rutherglen wineries.
