A Hidden Gem

Kingston-on-Murray Caravan Park is a welcoming, family-owned park set close to the Murray River and just 2 km from the Sturt Highway, making it an easy and relaxing stop while exploring the Riverland. The park offers powered and unpowered sites, drive-through options and a range of cabins to suit couples, families and touring travellers.

Guests can enjoy clean, modern facilities including a well-equipped camp kitchen, undercover BBQ area, swimming pool, laundry and accessible amenities. One of the special features of the park is its productive guest garden, where seasonal fruit and vegetables can be picked and enjoyed during your stay, adding a real local touch to the experience.

A short walk through the park takes you down to the Murray River, with access to a private jetty, nearby boat ramp and canoe hire for guests wanting to get out on the water. After an extensive recovery following the 2022 floods, the park has been beautifully restored and today offers a peaceful, well-maintained base surrounded by river scenery and abundant birdlife.

Kingston-on-Murray is a great base for travellers wanting to experience the quieter side of the Riverland. Spend time fishing, kayaking, canoeing or simply walking along the riverbank and enjoying the birdlife and natural surroundings. Nearby waterways including Chamber’s and Nockburra Creeks provide another peaceful way to explore the area by canoe.

The surrounding Riverland is also ideal for relaxed day trips, with towns such as Loxton within easy reach. Perfect Weekend Getaway

I had a lovely weekend staying at the Kingston on Murray caravan park, the cabins were clean, cosy and perfect for a weekend getaway. The area is so lovely bustling with wildlife and plenty of amazing sights. Geoff and Barb were so wonderful and welcoming, and both incredibly knowledgeable about the area. I look forward to returning!

Absolutely brilliant place to stay. The hosts are absolutely amazing, very friendly and helpful and even give you a tour of the park to show you where everything is if it’s your first time staying there. They have good knowledge of the local area and recommend great places to visit. They are pet friendly and even have pet friendly cabins (surcharge apply). The park is well maintained with good amenities and a swimming pool.

I think I just found my new favourite holiday destination, I definitely recommend this place.

Love The Waterfront

We have been waiting to return to the Kingston on Murray Caravan park after having stayed there before. We love the unpowered camping area down at the waterfront, so we dropped in for a couple of nights on our way home recently. Clean, peaceful and lots of birdlife. And Banrock wines just up the road! Keep up the good work Barb and Geoff.
