Local Attractions

Inverell is nestled in a picturesque valley beside the Macintyre River of NSW. A sizable, manicured town with lots to see and do (and eat!), it’s perfect for history-buffs, outdoors enthusiasts, a shopping trip or just a cute weekend away.

The beautiful heritage-fronted shopping streets offer boutique shopping, art galleries and excellent coffee stops. Local Sunday markets are worth a look, and foodies should stop in at Evergrow Farm for woodfired sourdough pizza and local produce, or taste some cracking drops at Toppers Mountain Wines.

Explore the region’s rich history at Inverell Pioneer Village or wander through the vast collection of vintage vehicles at the National Transport Museum. The Victa Mower Museum is a well-kept secret worth investigating, or just drive by the Vegemite House!  For a real time-travelling experience, settle in for home-made Devonshire tea at the Wing Hing Long Museum.

For those looking to get outdoors, it’s a beautiful region to explore. The title of “Sapphire City” is well-earned, and visitors can try their hand at fossicking for gemstones and diamonds, with equipment rental through the tourist information centre. Copeton Dam offers excellent fishing and boating – and a great splashpark for the kids – or throw a line in the Macintyre for Murray Cod. Join a kayak tour from Lake Inverell, hike to waterfalls in the nearby National Parks or simply meander the extensive cycling and walking paths along the rolling lawns of the riverbank.

Join the many travellers that are pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem of a town. Stop in for a visit and expect to extend your stay or book in a return trip – Inverell really is a gorgeous town worth spending some time in.

The Nicest Park!

07 Feb, 2025

One of the nicest parks we have ever stayed in. The amenities are new and modern and beautifully clean. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The sites are probably twice as big as most caravan parks with double concrete pads. This place is a real credit to the owners/staff…

Pristine Park & Fantastic Location

07 Feb, 2025

First visit. Amazing. The park is pristine. Amenities probably cleanest ever seen. Work planned to replace the camp kitchen which will be incredible. Parking space for unhitched vehicle is tight but seems to work. Fantastic location – easy walk to town, beautiful pathway along the river. The town has everything you would need. The relieving park managers Jim and Liz so friendly so efficient and take such pride in their job while owners having a few weeks off. Will be back!

Best Park In Our Travels

Best site and best amenities seen in our month long caravan travels. Would definitely recommend for a night or more when in Inverell.

Spacious, Shady & Incredibly Clean!

07 Feb, 2025

What a fabulous park. We intended to stay two nights whilst visiting friends but extended to four nights and would have stayed longer if we could have fitted it into our schedule It has to be the cleanest, well planned, shady and spacious park in Australia. Wonderful scenary along the river and gorgeous trees thoughtfully planted throughout the park.
