Things To Do

Kerang is a short drive to many regional towns such as Swan Hill, Echuca, Cohuna, Koondrook and Barham in NSW. The area boasts some great water sport opportunities, with the many lakes in the area offering sailing, water skiing, jet skiing and wind surfing.  Fishing and Canoeing are also popular in the rivers and lakes of the region. Bush Walking is a common pastime with walking tracks along the Loddon river in Kerang and around the Kerang Lakes. Bird watching is very popular in the many wetlands and forests across the region which are a haven for birdlife with up to 200 species of birds. The Middle Lake Ibis rookery is 9kms from Kerang which is also a popular location for bird watchers. The bird hide offers viewers the perfect place to view a variety of birds. For those enjoying local history, a walk or drive to Kerang, Cohuna and Koondrook will satisfy your interest with many heritage listed buildings. There are also many local events held throughout the year like Horse Racing, Show & Shine and sporting events such as Tennis, Lawn bowls, and Golf. The Kerang Market is held at Atkinsons Park on the 4th Saturday of the month (9am to 1pm).
