Double D Caravan Park

The quiet one - and pet friendly!

Peak Hill is situated midway between Parkes and Dubbo on the Newell Highway. Here you will find the wonderful Double D Caravan Park, located about 600 metres from the Newell Highway and nestled at the quiet end of town, away from busy trucks and highway noise.

Most of our sites are powered and drive-through, with flat concrete slabs for parking and a lovely green grassy patch for you to sit outside and relax. We offer air conditioned, motel-style cabins, which are all fully self-contained with linen provided free of charge. One of the units is pet friendly with its own fenced and concreted courtyard, and includes a table and barbeque.

Our screened camp kitchen is like no other. It has comfortable surroundings with barbeque facilities and a fishpond for you to enjoy a relaxing meal. The camp kitchen is fully equipped and we provide tea and coffee, so only need to bring your food and drinks. There is also a TV for you to catch up with the world events, and a second barbeque area has just been built for your enjoyment. While we do not have a dump point on our site, there is one located just around the corner on Lindner Oval with easy access.

We are pet friendly and have just completed our Doggy Day Spa, which includes a commercial dog dryer and towels. In the near future, we will be creating our Doggy Day Care so you can visit our local treasures, knowing your pet is securely looked after for while you are away. We have a variety of animals for you to see and enjoy. We have 6 hens, birds in the aviaries, as well as 3 miniature horses. Elvis the canary lives on the porch at reception, and Jack and Missy are our two city dogs.

We take pride in the cleanliness of our park and welcome inspections. Come and visit Double D Caravan Park and experience some good old-fashioned country hospitality.
