Mareeba is the perfect base to explore the Tablelands. It is also the gateway to Cape York, the Gulf of Carpentaria, Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef and Rainforests. Prepare for your Cape York adventure or restock and unwind on your return. The Tablelands offer many opportunities within an easy drive to explore such sites as the Emerald Creek Falls (only 10 km away), Davies Creek, Mareeba Wetlands and the Tinaroo Dam (with off road backroad tracks departing our Park). If you enjoy a culinary treat why not visit the large number of coffee venues in the area. If your preference is more adventurous activities try the Hot Air Ballooning, Segway or Ultra light flights.

There are also a number of superb wineries in the area or visit the local Emerald Creek Ice Creamery (locally made ice cream with local ingredients) or stop in at one of the many fresh fruit and produce local markets.
